Anchored in Tradition is our tag line because the SBT, from the breeds origin, is a wonderful companion that is also athletic, smart, steadfast, and loyal. Health and temperament come first, you shouldn't have an athlete that falls apart or a steadfast dog that is nervous or anxious. My family and I met our first SBT in 2011. After researching the breed we brought home our first male, Titan, in 2015. He produced 2 litters after extensive health testing and has now passed over the rainbow bridge.
Health and Temperament are at the top of the list of things I look at when pairing breeding dogs. The health test that we do on our dogs are as follows:
DNA based L2HGA test
DNA based cataract test
Radiographic Hip Evaluation with PennHIP or OFA
Radiographic Elbow Evaluation
Patellar Luxation Evaluation
Standard Congenital Cardiac Exam every 12 months
Eye Examination every 12 months
We understand that every puppy is unique, which is why we our puppies receive early stimulation as newborns and beginning crate training as older pups. Research shows it really help pups be well rounded individuals as they leave the litter box for their new homes. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Daily handling, Introduced t
We understand that every puppy is unique, which is why we our puppies receive early stimulation as newborns and beginning crate training as older pups. Research shows it really help pups be well rounded individuals as they leave the litter box for their new homes. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Daily handling, Introduced to people of different ages and appearances, Socialized with other dogs, Socialized in new places, Surface & tactile stimulation, Car rides, Beginning potty training, Introduction to crate training, and Noise desensitization.
We do have a puppy application process. Once your application has been received and approved, we do require a $500 non refundable deposit. Final payments and signed contracts are due at the time of puppy pickup. All Puppies will be vaccinated, have a Embark genetic panel done, and vet checked before heading to their new homes. Final payments and signed contracts are due at the time of puppy pickup. All Puppies will be vaccinated, have a Embark genetic panel done, and vet checked before heading to their new homes. We send our puppies home with a blanket with mom & litter-mates’ scent, Registration, Microchip, and all Vet records.
